Papers of Palmer Cox, 1894-1924.

The papers contain manuscripts of "How Columbus found America," "The elephant and the donkey, " and "Easter Sunday, " plus an untitled poem. Correspondence discusses his writings and political opinions including the Eighteenth Amendment and World War I. There is also a booklet, 1917, containing an "Address by Palmer Cox to Citizens of East Quoque, Long Island, N.Y. On the Second Liberty Loan" and an obituary. With these are twenty-six pen and ink drawings for "The brownies: their book, ", 1887; eleven pen and ink drawings of the Brownies, ca. 1890, mounted in an album; and an album of eleven Brownie decals, n.d.
